Their association with the hemp plant means that these two products are often referred to interchangeably. However, the truth is, they are completely different. Hemp has long been a staple of the skincare industry, thanks to the abundance of nourishing and vital ingredients contained within the plant. Nonetheless, hemp products like Hemp Lip Balms should not be confused with CBD Oil-based products like our range of CBD Lip Balms.

Hemp extracts such as those used in Hemp Lip Balms are typically extracted from the seeds of the plant. This part of the plant is known to contain very little – if any – CBD. As a result, the final hemp extract also contains only trace amounts of CBD at most. In comparison, CBD oils, such as the CBD Isolate we use in our CBD Lip Balms and every other Infusd product, are extracted directly from the CBD-rich flowers and leaves of the plant.
